چکیده

This study focuses on the removal of phenol from aqueous media using Agouraï clay (Fes-Meknes-Morocco region) and Geulmima (Draa Tafilalet region). The characterization by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption (BET), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetric differential thermal analysis (DTA/GTA) indicates that it is mainly composed quartz, kaolinite, illite. results showed raw Clay Agourai (RCA) (RCG) adsorbed very quickly reached equilibrium after 30 min. Thermodynamic parameters reveal physical nature adsorption, spontaneity, sequence process. However, structure structural solid before indicated mechanism reaction was electrostatic hydrogen bonding played an important role in RCG, while kinetic modeling pseudo-second-order model dynamics. physics-statistics employed for describing isotherm both systems. It found monolayer with two different energy sites best describes irrespective system. receptor density each direct influences capacity, demonstrating composition main source difference. simulations have shown spontaneous endothermic, In addition, thermodynamic show RCG could be even further since not achieved any variable. strength this lies determination materials optimum values temperature pH.

Adsorption Mechanisms of Cadmium onto Pillared Clays and Chalcogenides

Interactions between Cd, pillared clays and chalcogenedies have been studied using nanomineralogical experiments. XRD, DSC and chemical analysis. The synchrotron-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) was applied to characterize the reaction phases. The mean bond lengths between, Cd-S, Fe-S, Sb-S, Cd-Cd (in chalcogenedies), Al-Cd, Cd-Ti, and Fe-Cd, (in pillared clays) were determined by XAS ...

Adsorption Isotherm and Kinetics Study: Removal of Phenol Using Adsorption onto Modified Pistacia mutica shells

Background and purpose: Phenol is an aromatic hydrocarbon and one of the banzan derivatives which has a higher dissolution rate in water. Therefore, it must be removed for water pollution prevention. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of Pistaciamuticabio mass as an alternative adsorbent for phenol removal from aqueous solution. Materials and Methods: The effect of variou...

Adsorption of Ethyl Acetate onto Modified Clays and Its Regeneration with Supercritical Co2

Modified clays were used to remove ethyl acetate from aqueous solutions. These clays were regenerated using supercritical CO2. Structural changes in the montmorillonite clay after treatment with quaternary amines were studied. The surface properties of the modified clay changed from highly hydrophilic to highly organophilic. The clay was regenerated by percolation of a stream of CO2 through the...
